CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - At least one man had to be rushed to the hospital after a garbage truck collided with the trailer of a big rig early Thursday morning.
According to police, the crash happened along the 8100 block of Statesville Road on Thursday morning around 5:50 a.m.
Officers told WBTV that the driver of a tractor trailer had detached his trailer in the road and was working to maneuver his cab into position to reattach it.
That's when the driver of a garbage truck apparently didn't see the trailer and crashed into it.
The driver of the garbage truck had to be extracted by emergency crews and transported to the hospital. He was reportedly complaining of chest pains when he was taken to the hospital.
