CLOVER, SC (WBTV) - It's likely the sugar-rush from Thursday's activities is still in affect at Griggs Road Elementary in Clover.
Scattered all over the pre-k classroom tables was every kind of candy imaginable. It was used at the roof tiles, sidewalks, front door, and patios for gingerbread houses.
The idea behind the build wasn't as simple as a glance would make one believe. Third graders from the same school came down to the pre-k special needs class and the two teams worked together to build amazing houses.
The idea was to mix the kids together and teach both groups about acceptance. The message seemed to work, as the building drew to a close and candy still scattered the table. Kids from both classes seemed to enjoy the leftovers.
