Sammi Jo Francis - WBTV 3 News, Weather, Sports, and Traffic for Charlotte, NC

Sammi Jo grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and attended University of North Carolina at Charlotte for a Bachelors Degree in Communications; Mass Media with a double minor in Journalism and Theatre.

She interned at the SPEED Channel and briefly worked for them after her graduation in 2009.

Sammi Jo traveled and worked freelance on the American Le Mans Series which led to interning for Radio Le Mans on pit road at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2010.

She went back for further education in the broadcast media field at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting- Charlotte campus.

After graduating in April of 2011, she began an internship with the Ace & TJ Show. Sammi Jo joined the WBTV Sports family in September 2011.
