CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Our latest See, Click, Fix issue may not appear to be a problem, but could become one according to some viewers.
It's happening behind an office building at the corner of East Morehead Street and Euclid Avenue in Charlotte.
Just off Euclid Avenue, is an entrance to a parking lot behind the building.
And in the entrance, is a metal grate that runs about nine feet.
And in the metal grate: standing water.
But it's not always standing.
See, Click, Fix viewers say it's oftentimes flowing, that water comes out of the grate and onto the street.
You can see the evidence.
The driveway is discolored where some type of discharge has apparently occurred.
And down the street along the curbing, evidence of more water.
Viewers tell me...and I've seen it myself...the volume of water coming out of the grate at times is quite significant.
Viewers are concerned about what's going to happen when temperatures dip below freezing.
One viewer, who says she drives the road every day, says last winter there were some "treacherous" driving conditions in that lane because water coming out of the grate was freezing along the road.
So what's happening there?
I'm working to get some answers for you.
I've contacted the City of Charlotte as well as the business that manages the building, and I am waiting for a response.
I'll let you know what I learn as soon as I hear from them.
