CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Moments after winning his second term as Charlotte's mayor Tuesday night, Mayor Anthony Foxx sat down with WBTV.
He talked about his vision for Charlotte's future.
Foxx said that he continues to attract jobs to the Queen City and says that under his leadership, more than 14,000 jobs have been created.
One new issue that Foxx will attempt to tackle in a new term is city county consolidation through a merged government.
The mayor also said that regional transportation issues will remain a priority for his administration.
As it relates to developing new job opportunities, Foxx will leave this week for a trip to China.
Part of the focus will be bringing jobs to Charlotte and introducing local businesses to corporations in the Pacific rim region.
