CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A portion of Freedom Drive will close on Monday, September 12 for pavement repairs, and traffic in both directions will be affected.
North Carolina DOT officials will be working on the westbound side of Freedom Drive between Clarkson Street and Morehead Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
As a result, all westbound traffic will be shifted over to one of the eastbound lanes. Eastbound traffic will then be reduced to just one lane.
Motorists should consider using West Morehead Street as an alternate route.
