HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Police say they have found the teenage girl who left the dead body of her newborn baby in a grocery store bathroom.

Henderson police say they questioned the girl for hours. Capt. David Adams says investigators are waiting for autopsy results before deciding whether to file charges.

As of Wednesday, police had not released the mother's name.

The baby was born alive outside a hospital, but was dead when it was left in a trash can in the women's bathroom at a Bi-Lo grocery Sunday night.

The child was thought to be no more than three days old.

A store video shows the girl and her boyfriend enter the store Sunday afternoon and walk toward the bathroom.

She is seen on the video carrying a bag into the store and throughout the store. She also carreid the bag into the bathroom with her.

An employee at the store called police around 9 p.m. saying the infant was found wrapped in a blanket in the women's bathroom.

The blanket the child was wrapped in had the words in Spanish that mean "my baptism."
