CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) The Charlotte Department of Transportation has closed a section of North Hoskins Road for an emergency utility project.
The road has been closed between Maple Grove Road and Carrier Drive for storm water repairs. The road will remain closed until a suitable replacement culvert can be designed and constructed.
A spokesperson for the Charlotte DOT says, "a definitive date for completion has not been determined at this time, but could possibly take up to three months to complete."
A tentative date of November 30 has been set as reopening date.
Motorists traveling between Brookshire Boulevard and Beatties Ford Road are advised to follow the posted detour along Brookshire Boulevard, Oakdale Road, Peachtree Road, Sunset Road and Beatties Ford Road.
CATS bus route #30 will be disrupted while this closure takes place.
