MEMPHIS (WMC-TV) - A sex offender who has been missing since a teen nursing student disappeared was found this week, authorities said.
Police now plan to question Victor George Wall, 43, who was convicted of molesting a child in Washington state more than 20 years ago and lived near the recently missing teen.
Wall had been missing since Holly Bobo, 19, disappeared from her home just before she left to go to her morning nursing classes in mid-May.
Wall, who was found at his girl friend's home in Minnesota Monday, was the only sex offender in the Perry County area that could not be located after Bobo went missing.
Four years ago, he moved to Perry County, TN, not far from where Holly Bobo lived with her parents.
Bobo, who has been missing for almost four months, was last seen by her brother who saw a man leading her into the woods around her house. The man was wearing camouflage and blood was found at the scene later.
Fred Moore, of the Perry County Sheriff's Department, says law enforcement checks out all sex offenders in an area where there has been an abduction like the case of Holly Bobo.
However, investigators were unable to locate Wall.
They say after moving to Perry County, he registered as a sex offender and a few days later was arrested for joy riding in a car he was not authorized to use. He spent 10 days in jail.
And until he was arrested Monday, he hadn't been seen since being released from jail.
