CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A water main break in the 6600 block of Independence Boulevard is causing delays for drivers in East Charlotte.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Utility Officials say one outbound lane of Independence Boulevard is closed near East WT Harris Boulevard. Crews will continue working on Tuesday, July 26, to repair the leak. During that time, the right lane will remain closed.
A CMUD spokesperson told WBTV that all lanes are expected to reopen by midday on Tuesday.
Motorists in the area should use Monroe Road as an alternate route until repairs are completed.
