LENOIR, NC (WBTV) - Authorities seized 276 dogs and puppies from a kennel in the Caldwell County town of Hudson on Thursday, June 16. (Click here to read the full story)
Caldwell County Animal Control said the dogs were not available for adoption as of Friday morning.
All of the 276 dogs rescued from the Mason Creek Kennel were picked up Saturday and taken to various shelters across the state. The puppies have now been given to rescue groups.
The public can reach out to the various groups to adopt the dogs. Those groups are: Humane Society of Charlotte, Union Co Animal Services, Guilford County Animal Shelter, Saving Grace Rescue, SPCA of Wake County, Norfolk SPCA (Virginia) and Virginia Beach SPCA.

A small number of the seized dogs will remain at the Caldwell County Animal Shelter in Lenoir. These animals will not be available for adoption immediately due to the ongoing case as well as their immediate need for care and rehabilitation.
