CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Panthers coach Ron Rivera says he plans to keep Joe Webb as the team's No. 3 quarterback after starter Cam Newton suffered a hairline fracture to his ribs Friday night during a preseason against New England. The Panthers only kept two QBs last year - Newton and veteran Derek Anderson.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The Panthers trimmed their roster to 75 players without making any cuts. Carolina on Tuesday placed wide receiver De'Andre Presley on the physically unable to perform list and added quarterback Matt Blanchard, tight end D.C. Jefferson and center Kevin Matthews to injured reserve.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Darlington Raceway will return to its traditional Labor Day weekend date next season in one of the few significant changes to NASCAR's 2015 Sprint Cup Series schedule. To get Darlington back to Labor Day weekend after an 11-year absence, Atlanta Motor Speedway gave up the date. Atlanta now goes to the second race of the season on March 1.
