COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A bill that would impose new penalties on disruptive people in public libraries will become law. The South Carolina House voted 75-36 on Wednesday to override the governor's veto of a measure to allow a misdemeanor trespassing charge against people who return to a library despite a written warning to stay away.

FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) - A former South Carolina House member is scheduled to be in court for a hearing on charges he helped a businessman hide assets from an insurance company and lied to IRS agents. Thad Viers' arraignment is set for Thursday in federal court in Florence.

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Former Clemson infielder Taylor Harbin has returned to the baseball team as a student assistant coach helping Coach Jack Leggett. Harbin played at Clemson between 2005 and 2007 and was part of the team that reached the 2006 College World Series.
