Man stabbed in neck at Mooresville Dragway, officials say

MOORESVILLE, NC (WBTV) - A man is facing attempted murder charges after officials say he stabbed a man in the neck at the Mooresville Dragway on Saturday night.

According to the Sheriff's Office, 51-year-old Robert David Trivett is charged with stabbing a man during a fight at the Dragway on Wilkinson Road, off N.C. 152. 

The victim was airlifted to the hospital with stab wounds in his neck and side.

WBTV has learned that Trivett Officials say Trivett was located, arrested, and booked into the jail around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. He is being held on $100,000 bond in the Rowan County Detention Center.

The Mooresville Dragway was hosting the Mad Dawg Door Car Jam-A-Rama.

This is the second violent episode within four weeks at the Dragway. 

On May 7th, the Sheriff's office says Quentin Odell Mathis shot two men at the Dragway. The victims have since been released from the hospital.
