GRANITE QUARRY- The North Carolina Department of Transportation is closing a section of Barger Road on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. The road will be closed just south of Trexler Road to replace a substandard crossline of a bridge.
Crews will work each day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through Friday May 27, when the road is scheduled to reopen.
Motorists should use Stokes Ferry Road as an alternate route.
