Man charged with murder in stabbing in Gaston County

GASTON COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -  A Gastonia man has died after he was stabbed at a home on Farmington Drive in Stanley, a Gaston County man has been charged with his murder.

Police were called around 12:30 Saturday morning from Gaston Memorial Hospital. A man had arrived at the hospital with a stab wound to the chest. Antwan Raschard McGill, 25, of Allison Street in Gastonia, died a short time later.

Police received information that the stabbing had occurred at 110 Farmington Drive in Stanley.  Officers located two people at that house.  During the investigation police determined a fight had occurred between McGill and Adrian Tarrell Epps.   

Epps has been charged with first degree murder and is being held in the Gaston County Jail with no bond.  Epps has previously been charged with assault on a female, breaking and entering, escape from prison, robbery, and assault inflicting serious injury dating back to 1993.
