CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Turning heads at local driving ranges is a little boy who can hardly even say the word "golf". 3-year-old Alexander Smith has had a club in his hand since he was barely a year old. Now, he's getting close to the perfect swing.
Ok, maybe it's not perfect yet but for 3-years-old, it's not bad at all.
"I don't care if he becomes a professional golfer, I don't care what he does. I'm just happy that he's healthy and has fun," said Alexander's father Brandon.
To see the little guy hit with his custom fit clubs is quite a treat. He can fire off a rapid succession of hits, lined up perfectly by his Dad of course. Brandon says spending time on the links with his son is more about bonding than making his boy a phenom.
