CONCORD, NC (WBTV) - The North Carolina Department of Transportation is working to repave a section of Bruton Smith Boulevard between Weddington Road Extension and the Rocky River Golf Course. As a result, one westbound lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through March 25, 2011.
Both westbound lanes will open for the weekend. DOT crews will resume work on March 28, resulting in slow downs for westbound traffic again, through Friday, April 1, 2011.
Motorists in the area should consider using Pitts School Road NW as an alternate route until the project is complete.
