"Fab Five" not so fab, says Bobby Knight

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) A documentary on Michigan's "Fab Five" scored big ratings for ESPN over the weekend, but former Indiana coach Bobby Knight is not impressed. He was in Charlotte Monday night.

"What did they win? They didn't win anything," Knight told WBTV's Tom Roussey. "They talked about tearing down their banners, what the hell banners did they have? They didn't even win a Big 10 championship."

The "Fab Five" was made up of five freshman and sophomore starters at the University of Michigan. They lead the school to two national championship games in the early 90s.

Knight was in Charlotte for an event called "Inside the Brackets" at Spirit Square. Legends of college basketball shared their bracket expertise to raise money for prostate cancer awareness.
