CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Over the weekend, runners and cyclists flocked to McAlpine Greenway in southeast Charlotte to soak up some sunshine and fresh air.
Some of them say improvements made to the Greenway as part of a major sewer line renovation could actually hurt what they find appealing.
Much of the Greenway has dirt and gravel trails, which are popular with runners because the ground provides some cushion for their joints.
Now more of the trails could be paved with asphalt. Construction could start this summer.
