Black Bean & Serrano Ham Hummus

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Austin Kosater from Johnson & Wales University demonstrates a recipe for Black Bean and Serrano Ham Hummus. Please find the recipe below:

3 cans black beans

1/4 cup horseradish

1/2 lb Serrano ham, cut small

1/4 cup peanut butter

1 roasted red pepper, diced

1 red bell pepper, diced

4 cloves garlic, diced

2 tbsp Chipotle Tabasco Sauce or hot sauce of choice

S&P to taste

Method Of Preparation:

Render fat from ham and set ham aside, sauté red pepper with garlic. Drain and rinse beans then add to sauté pan. Sautee until peppers are tender and remove from heat. Add all ingredients into food processor and blend until smooth. Season to taste and serve with accompaniments.

Accompaniments: Flour Tortilla, Corn Tortilla, Queso Fresco or cheese of choice, avocado, lime
