CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The staff at SAS Cupckes in the Blakeny area of Charlotte are used to big orders. They have baked for OK Magazine and Macys. However the order they filled this week was beyond anything they have done before.
"I was trying not to panic," said Tara Voigt who owns the cupcake shop.
Then she and her team got down to business baking 40,000 cupcakes for the staff at Victorias Secret.
The company is celebrating huge sales for it's Pink clothing line so the CEO wanted pink cupcakes with pink frosting sent to store associates as a thank you.
"It sounds overwhelming but we have a tight staff and we just made it happen," Voigt said.
1,500 dozen cakes were baked at the Blakeney store with the lions share coming from the SAS shop in Delaware.
