CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The research behind it started more than 50 years ago, but now a once dormant diet fad is on it's way back.
It has Charlotte-area diet clinics filled, and a simple search on the internet brings up hundreds of thousands of results.
Believers in the HCG diet plan say it has helped them take off the unwanted pounds that no other diet has.
However, it has a large group of skeptics who say the injections dieters are using do nothing at all to aid in weight loss.
