CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - After 30 years in business, the Hotel Charlotte restaurant closed its doors Saturday night.
The owner said it was time to move on, and the down economy was also factor.
The restaurant was known for Creole and Cajun food. It had been a Cotswold neighborhood mainstay for years.
The restaurant was named after the old Hotel Charlotte downtown, which was imploded. Some of the hotel fixtures, including the bar, were saved and used in the restaurant.
Regulars who came back Saturday said it was one of their favorite "hang-outs."
