CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Who knew Facebook had the power to help someone Pass 3 On? That's what I discovered when Amy Lambert saw sign while running errands on her lunch break in South Charlotte one Thursday morning.
She told me about a classmate of hers from her alma mater, North Mecklenburg High School.
"It's a girl that I went to high school with," said Lambert. "Found out about her on Facebook. [I] don't really remember her but a couple of weeks ago my husband and I went out and bought her and her five kids $200 worth of groceries."
You're probably wondering why she would do such a thing for a woman she barely remembers.
The reason, Lambert told me, is simple.
"Because I'm very blessed," she said. "I mean, I live in a nice house and my kids have everything -- too much actually. I mean during my lunch break I'm coming to by shoes."
The single mother of five, now lives in Mount Holly. That's where Lambert and I headed after getting the green light from her boss to take an extra long lunch break.
And for the first time since we started Passing 3 On, Anna White knew exactly why we were there as soon as she opened her front door.
