Gas prices not dropping soon

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - With the national average of gas per gallon at $3.10, local forecasters are not expecting that number to drop any time soon.

According to Brendan Bryce with AAA Carolinas, foreign countries are consuming record amounts of oil and gas. The demand is high and OPEC says they don't plan to increase production, keeping supply lower.

The pain translates at the pump. We talked to several people putting only a few dollars worth of gas in their cars at a time.

"It's all I can afford right now, just enough to get me from point A to point B," said one woman.
