CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Simon the cross-eyed Siamese mix didn't last very long once he came up for adoption. The black short-haired kitty is still on display at Complete PetMart in South Charlotte, but he's already been spoken for.

Many Siamese cats have crossed eyes, but Simon's are more pronounced adding to his playful charm.

When we went to see Simon, we got word of another cat who's story isn't so lucky. Monty is a 7 year old domestic who has FIV or feline immunodeficiency virus. The volunteers at Furrever Friends say no one seems interested in a cat who needs extra care, even thought Monty can still be expected to love a full and healthy life.

So, here's hoping Simon's exposure for his unique trait, can help out his neighbor and possibly more of the kitties who need forever homes.
