CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police are looking for a woman who they saw shot a man on the dance floor of a night club near uptown Charlotte.
The victim disappeared after the shooting at the Breakfast Club located on the corner of Caldwell and Sixth Streets.
The victim received two bullets to the head and died the next day.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Detective Henry McSwain located photos taken by a professional photographer who was inside the club prior to the shooting.
The pictures show that a fight broke out among two women and bouncers escorted them outside the club.
Within five minutes, another fight erupted in the club involving the victim, 25-year-old Dominic Mahone, who apparently spotted someone in the crowd in which he had a beef with. While he scuffles, a woman calmly walks up and shoots Mahone twice.
When police arrived at the scene, detectives were unable to find anyone who was willing to talk about what happened.
"They scattered," said Detective McSwain, "Everybody we talked to wants to be on the stairwell or outside the club, nobody we talked to wants to be inside to see what happened."
McSwain says it's only a matter of time before police find someone who will identify the shooter.
If you can help identify anyone in the club that night, call Crimestoppers at 704-334-1600.
