The 20-10 midterm elections are over and results were historic.
A female will be the new Governor of South Carolina...
In North Carolina, control will shift from Democrats to Republicans That's not happened in over 110 years.
Also historic, a true grass roots movement got underway -- the Tea Party -- it's starting to reshape our political landscape.
Pundits disagree on many parts of the Tea Party.
But one thing they cannot disagree on is that it's a party that has NOT ONLY energized its members, but also much of America.
Opinions of the Tea Party varied among our Editorial Board members.
But one thing that we all agreed on is that this new party brought interest and energy to this past election.
It got people involved.
That is a good thing.
We now need to keep that interest going.
First step is to watch the person who represents you.
Keep as close a daily track on your representatives as you can.
Let them know of your opinions.
When they do something you agree with – let them know….E-mail them.
Call them.
Write a letter.
Whatever.
But just tell them.
When they do something against your thoughts, be sure to tell them that as well.
Bottom line?
Keep the heat on our new officials.
Always remember, it's YOUR government.
Not theirs.
