Home invasion victim charged after cops find drugs, police say

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police say one of the victims of a home invasion in northeast Charlotte was arrested early Thursday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m., police received a call at an apartment complex on Nugget Court which is located off Mallard Creek Church Road.

Once Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers searched the victims' apartment, police arrested one of the residents on drug charges.

According to the police report, 19-year-old Ethan Elyasian was arrested for possession of .03 grams of marijuana, 28.5 pills of Adderall, and 38 glass marijuana pipes. 

Elyasian's official charges are listed as misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The CMPD said there were five victims inside the home during the robbery.  The victims did not know the suspects involved, police said.

The victims' wallets, a laptop computer, a Remington 870 shotgun, and an Xbox were taken during the home invasion.

As of Friday morning, police were still looking for the suspects.
