Cover Story: Queens University - Digital Literacy Pioneer?

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Queens University is getting a sweet chunk of change to improve digital literacy.

Six million dollars, courtesy of the Knight Foundation for Queens to teach digital and media literacy.

What exactly is digital literacy?  It is the art of understanding the world of digital media.

What's digital media?  Do you have a handheld device?  Then you've got more information in your pocket than most people have had in their lifetime

And trying to understand all the information that's out there and what do with it is what they'll be doing at Queens.  It's likely to set Charlotte up as a national leader in the information world.
