CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - On a bright beautiful day it's not obvious what the problem is on Marley Circle in Charlotte. This street light, that usually provides a sense of security at night, stopped working. And it's not the first time it happened.
Paulette W. writes See, Click Fix,"...street light has been out for weeks. It has been reported to 311 twice in the last 2 weeks.... It takes several calls for several weeks before Duke (Energy) comes out to fix it again..."
WBTV's Christine Nelson talked to the woman who especially wishes this light is working, the pole sits right at her driveway entrance.
We resorted to calling Duke Energy and 311 ourselves to see what we can make happen on this neighborhood's behalf. We at least got an immediate response from the city saying,"...it's now checking with its street light experts..."
Duke Energy did get back with us as well. The same day the company got our message, it sent a crew to Marley Circle, beginning the process fixing the light... So problem solved!
