CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Jenny Martin is a mom of three who started clipping coupons as a hobby. She started sharing all that she saved with her friends.
"I would up sending out a lot of emails and my husband said I should put it all in one place instead of having to send so many emails. I don't think he really thought I'd do it," Martin said.
She did and created a website that goes by the name Southern Savers. She posts coupon deals for restaurants, grocery stores, and other establishments you can only find in the South.
"You have to find your niche because there are many sites out there which talk about coupons. I would go through those sites and see stores I had never heard of before. So, no, if you're not in the southeast, you won't be found on my site," Martin said.
Martin will hold a coupon workshop that teaches all of the basics, along with a strong focus on ethics when using coupons. It's Wednesday, September 1, at 6:30pm on the campus of Gaston College. If you'd like more information about the workshop or Martin's website, click the link at the top of the page.
