CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - For the longest time, there was no street sign for Lawndale Road and Poindexter Drive in south Charlotte. It appeared there used to be a sign on a utility pole because there was a post above the stop sign. However, even if there were a sign, it would be partially obscured due to overgrown branches in the area.
But now a new sign on a new post is up. Less than two weeks after we contacted the Charlotte Department of Transportation about the issue workers had the new street sign up at Lawndale and Poindexter. Not only that, workers removed the post from the utility pole and the overgrown tree branches have been cut back.
