CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - It can be tough to find your way around Charlotte. And even if you have a GPS it still helps if there are street signs posted. That isn't the case in this See, Click, Fix story.
We looked for Lawndale Road in south Charlotte. It's off Poindexter Drive. But take it slow because you could pass right by Lawndale without seeing it. Per a See, Click, Fix heads up we found there is no street sign at Lawndale and Poindexter.
We did find the post where it appears the missing sign should be. It looks as if there could have been a sign here at some time.
However, even if there were a sign here it might be hard to see for folks coming down Lawndale towards Poindexter. The area where the sign should be is obscured by a lot of tree branches.
So what can be done about this? See, Click, Fix has done stories on missing signs in the past. Here in Charlotte, they're typically the responsibility of the Charlotte Department of Transportation.
I have calls and an email message into the good folks with C-DOT and as soon as we get some answers we'll let you know.
