Fire damages clubhouse at an apartment complex in Concord

CONCORD, NC (WBTV) - Officials are trying to determine what caused a fire at an apartment complex in Concord early Friday morning.

The fire was in the clubhouse at the Cloister Apartments at 843 Devonshire Drive NW off Rock Hill Church Road.

A newspaper carrier noticed the fire and reported it to 911 around 4:20 a.m.

Forty firefighters responded to the scene and they had the fire under control about 20 minutes later.

More than 50-percent of the clubhouse burned causing an estimated $160,000 in damage.

No one was injured, according to fire department spokesman Norman Franklin.
