CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - WBTV viewers have been contacting us with complaints about their Internet service provider, AT&T.
They say they haven't been able to get online, and their small businesses are suffering for it.
"My service has been out for more than 48 hours," writes Greg Baber. "For those of us who use it to accomplish our jobs, it makes it very difficult to explain to customers that I can not help you because my Internet is down.
"Also," Baber continues, "AT&T has been very vague in explaining what the issue is, and saying how many customers have been directly affected."
Businesswoman Kathi Levine has a similar tale. She says her service "has been down since Monday. This greatly affects our business. We are unable to receive orders from our web site, speak with suppliers and follow up on leads...you can probably imagine how stressful it is..."
Levine says she's wasted hours of her work day getting shuffled around on AT&T's help hotline, and that supervisors who were supposed to call her back never did.
