CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - It used to be that families would take summer vacations to get away from it all.
That's much harder now, because so many of us want to stay "plugged in" while we're away.
It's not enough to simply bring along the cell phone. Some families cart along the laptop, the digital camera, the iPod, the video camera, and the portable DVD player.
"It can force you to bring an extra suitcase filled with electronics and chargers," said WBTV Cyber Expert Theresa Payton.
Coming up tonight at 5 p.m., Theresa will show us how to divide those electronics into three categories so we can pare down what we bring along. She'll also tell us about some cool gadgets you may see as summer must-haves.
