10 year-old businessman raises money for college

INDIAN LAND, SC (WBTV) - If you happen to drive down Highway 521 headed into South Carolina, you'll pass right by Jack's Ice House.

If you venture up to the walk-up hut, you'll likely be greeted by a nice guy named Jack. He'll be there of course, unless he's busy in school.

Jack is only 10. A conversation with older siblings about how to pay for college sparked an idea. Jack begged his parents to buy him a snow cone shop so he could sell ice treats and make money for college.

Jack doesn't want to take out any silly loans. He wants to pay cash. His own cash.

Pretty cool concept for a 10-year-old to even consider or care about how to pay for college when it's a whole 8 years away.

But Jack's a cool kid.
