CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - There is never a shortage of food in Uptown Charlotte. When the lunch whistle sounds and the streets swarm with people, food vendors perch on every corner.
But there's one unusual vendor parked in an orange trailer. It's called the Harvest Moon Grille. Every single speck of food that comes out of the window is from farms within 100 miles of Charlotte.
Local food. Good food. Owner Cassie Parsons says her fare doesn't come with antibiotics or pesticides. "It's clean food," she says.
The local food cart is turning heads and noses. The smells wafting from within draw curious on-lookers. Parsons quickly approaches and explains the concept of good food.
Most who stop to look end up buying, and eating, and loving.
