MATTHEWS, NC (WBTV) - One was perched on the back seat of a vintage Thunderbird. Another waved a red, white, and blue American flag with a grin.
The camera clicked over and over and over. The scene was of a 1950's era picnic. The picture subjects were all well over 60.
The Levine Senior Center is sponsoring the 12 month wall calendar to raise money for the center. Each month, photographer Lorayn Deluca captures different scenes of seniors simply enjoying life.
For the 30 minute photo shoot, there were more laughs than shutter clicks. The gathering was a proof-positive moment that shows seniors are anything but old.
The calendar will be all wrapped up by September and is sure to be a showcase of senior fun.
