CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - It's a nutrition nightmare in many of Charlotte's poorest neighborhoods.
If you drive out on West Boulevard or Beatties Ford Road, you'll find mile after mile of high-fat, fast food and convenience stores.
You will find few or no major grocery stores.
So our poorest neighbors who rely on public transportation are, literally, starving for fresh fruits and vegetables.
It's not just a Charlotte problem – it's a problem in many of America's largest cities.
