CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police are looking for the person who fired shots inside a north Charlotte home that was occupied by four small children and several adults.
The shooting occurred on Wednesday around 11:06 p.m. at 1320 Norris Avenue.
The female victim told Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police she didn't know the suspect and that he entered her home uninvited.
The suspect got into an altercation with the woman and her husband. The suspect then fired two shots which injured the husband.
Eight people were in the house including four children ranging in age from 1 year to 4 years old.
The husband was shot and suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center. The other seven victims, including the children, were not hurt.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
