Teacher drives moped to Memphis for charity

CLOVER, SC (WBTV) - Frank Falls is doesn't exactly fit the stereotype of an economics teacher. He makes people laugh.

When the teacher came up with a plan to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, he wasn't laughing. Even though scores of people did and still call him crazy, Frank planned to drive a donated moped to Memphis to deliver the money raised in person. Frank is leaving on April 5th.

He says the hardest part will be the seat on the 150cc scooter. His trek will take him across 602 miles over a period of 3 days.

Frank says he hopes his ride inspires kids to do something to help others, even if you don't have to.

To date, the Moped to Memphis campaign has raised $10,000 for St. Jude's.
