Some headlines from the New York Times….
"Health Care Bill Held Up Over Job Loss Fears"…April, 1971.
"Geese Crash Into Airliner"…January, 1961.
"Tea Party Meeting Fights New Taxes"…July, 1935.
The point is, most of the bad news we're facing today, we've faced before.
The economy is still struggling…politicians can't get along….
And on top of that, we've just come through the coldest and wettest winter in decades.
We need a break.
Well, today's the first day of Spring.
Temperatures are rising and we're already in Daylight Saving Time.
And while the arrival of Spring won't make all of our problems magically disappear, it is a chance to begin again.
We encourage you to take stock of the blessings in your life, and go from there.
Get involved with your kids' activities at school…become a Little League coach…play golf with your buddies.
It's time to break ground on your garden, or tackle the proverbial Spring Cleaning.
Remember that exercise program you began in January – for a week? Pull it out of moth balls and start again.
As the headlines show, we'll always have plenty to worry about.
But for now, enjoy Spring!
