Happy Anniversary for the Good News on WBTV!

By Kristen Hampton - bio l email

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The date slipped up on me. One year ago this week, I told my boss I thought we should do a regular segment featuring something positive. I told him we should do it every day.

To my surprise, he said ok.

That was the beginning of The Good News. A feature segment most TV consultants will tell you is a waste of time. They would say don't even try it. But we've been trying it for a year. In a year we've laughed, cried, been grossed out, been inspired and laughed more.

I've got a stack of e-mails from people saying 'thank you' for featuring something positive on the news.

Happy Birthday Good News, and many more!
