Winter weather is in full force, which can wreak havoc on your hair. Hair is extremely sensitive to its environment, especially in winter, when it's frequently exposed to extreme weather and changes in temperature and humidity. Everything from the cold temperatures to rain, snow and wind may cause hair to become static, dull, dry and frizzy. Dry central heating and frequent hat wearing further exacerbate these conditions. 

Whatever winter symptoms you have, keeping your hair healthy is critical in helping it look its best throughout the winter season. Here are some simple tips to winter-proof your hair:

1. Use an intensive conditioner at least once a week. The high level of protective ingredients will help mitigate static and frizz caused by changes in humidity.
    
2. Apply a couple of drops of serum to the ends. This will not only provide healthy-looking shine but also help avoid static frizz -- particularly important when taking hats on and off to beat the winter blues.
3. Towel dry the majority of the water from your hair before using the dryer. Not only will this make hair easier to style, it will help avoid dryer-related damage, keeping it looking winter radiant.
