IRON STATION, NC (WBTV) - When Beth Woodliff found the little dog on the side of the road, she thought he'd been hit by a car.
But a trip to the vet revealed not an injury, but a birth defect that left the dog's legs useless.
Beth decided to keep the pooch and name him "Scoot". But "Scoot" began to form sores on his back legs from where they rub the ground.
Beth got the idea to call the Lincoln Times News and ask for a donated wheelchair from a reader.
The request was well received and now "Scoot" could be called "Roll" in his new wheelchair.
