Good News: See Satin Run

By Kristen Hampton - bio l email

KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC (WBTV) - 11 year old Satin was named for her beautiful eyes that begged you to play fetch, even if you've already played fetch for hours.

The black lab was diagnosed 2 years ago, with Glaucoma. Her beautiful eyes had to go. The vet offered the option of putting her down. Satin had other plans.

She escaped out of a gate and went missing for 7 days. A blind dog on the run left owner Jackie Milam heartbroken. She just knew Satin was dead. But a phone call from a family 5 miles away, sent Jackie to tears and wiped out the option of putting Satin down.

She survived, and continues to thrive even though two dark furry spots take the place of her eyes. She'll take her place in your heart.
