CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The underside of the Christmas tree will not be bare for more than 13,500 Charlotte children.
The Salvation Army's Angel Tree distribution kicked off today. Thousands of smiling parents showed up to gather toys and bikes for their children.
The old Wal-Mart building is packed with thousands of plastic bags slammed full of presents.
The building seemed to be bursting with smiles from both clients and hundreds of volunteers who helped put the right gifts with the right parent.
The smiles though will likely be overshadowed though, by the grinning faces of kids on Christmas morning.
